TD - Creating Separate Playoffs after a Merged Round Robin Event

In some cases, you may not have enough players to host a round robin event on its own and need to merge the events together for additional match play but still want to have the "playoffs" of each original event separate.  The following steps explain how to handle this.

After you have merged the events, we are going to create a "new" event for each playoff we wish to hold.  In my Merged event below, I added 3 teams of 5.0 into our 4.5 so everyone would get additional games but wanted the three 5.0 teams into their own medal playoff.

Head into the "Events" tab and create a new event.  Your Registration should be "Closed" by this time to avoid having other players accidentally register for this event.  In the "skill" and "age" sections, set these to "Any" to help avoid any unnecessaryary problems with adding players in manually.  Head to the "Type a Custom Title" section and add in the name of the event:

When you get down to the "Link to Parent Event" this is very important, add in the name of the Merged event.  When we go to add players from that event into this playoff, this will keep the software from charging the players an additional service fee.  Once this is done, go ahead and save the event.

Now we need to manually add the players into the new event that we want to play in it.  This needs to be done BEFORE you start the round robin portion.  Head to the attendee's section and use the Menu button to "Edit Registration" on the players you wish to add the event to.  Do this for each team to manually add them into the additional event.

Once all teams are added you are done and this event will behave like any other event.  You will need to verify the event separately and set it up to produce the matches and format.
